Wow...hope she doesn't find out and test them on you...I told my wife if she doesn't quit smoking( I quit when she made me) I was going to buy a new knife(Rc6)
If you have already quit, please pass along to your wife:
I haven't had a cigarrette since July 4, 1997 and I still miss them. They were only $1.85 a pack when I quit. Health wise, you won't even believe how much faster you will recover on the very rare occasion you get sick. Here is how I did it:
-set a quit date about two weeks away. One that day you wake up, no smokey for you.
-start tapering off by cutting back a few each day. By the time your quit date comes you will be at the point right on the edge that it is one way or the other, quit or go back to smoking.
-change your routine and avoid situations that trigger cravings. Get up after you eat, do not smoke (and clean out) your car.
-Get rid of all cigarrettes and keep them away. To this day, if I had a pack of Marlboro lights in my hand, I would smoke them.
-drink water, use the nicorrete gum, do the breathing exercises (you may want to sit down at first so if you get dizzy you won't splat) i found that mints and twizzlers helped.
-try to find a physical activity to help keep you away from tehm, walking, hiking, jogging, cross country skiing whatever.
-reward yourself with the knife.
I hope this helps and feel free to PM me if you need support
PS the rc6 is really nice!
