I am looking to aquire a simple yet high quality folding knife but before I do, as I do in all things, I need to know how to purchase one.
If I knew how blade metals were graded and what properties each of the various types of steel are used in knifes, it would make my purchasing feel alot more gratifying.
Thanks all,
Richard

Our Threads are pretty much asking the same questions, I found some help on mine in understanding metals, there is a FAQ here to look at and after googleing some stuff I have found that there are numerous types of metals used, and each having their own advantages and weakness, it takes time put the best answers for you are typically the ones that you discover, for there is too much information on this subject to get the full spectrum.
