This is a very convenient lightweight battery powered light.
It's quite powerful, carries well and is easy to use, in addition to being waterproof (which I haven't tested if they are, but the seals look good).
In addition to the ordinary white bulb head for the torch there's one with a single red LED. Useful for when you don't want powerful illumination and when long battery life is a plus. I often carry one of each.
These torches are ideal under several conditions, for example shining under furniture and inside machinery when there's ambient lighting around. They also work very well in total darkness.
The red LED doesn't throw light very far, but it's quite sufficient to light the path you're walking on and to clearly show if there're any branches ahead of you. It's not as bright as some of the smaller LED lights, but I think this is more useful as the contrast between the lighted area and what's outside it is smaller.
However, during some conditions there's a problem with them, and that's when it's not totally dark but you still want addtional illumination. Which is pretty much how it is for me most of the time it's not daylight, since nearby lights and overcast or moonlight makes it possible to get around even in the woods around here.
The problem is that the reflector housing shines too, and not very dimly. This is good sometimes as it provides general illumination, so there's not total darkness outside the beam of light. But if you have the light in your field of vision, then your dark adaption is gone. This goes even for the one with the red LED, where the housing is brighter than whatever you shine your light on if it's not very close. This means I usually either hold the torch above and behind me (the white) or shield it with my palm (the red LED) when I'm using them outdoors, since I'll often use them a short time.
I also have a UKE Light 4AA which is similar, but much more powerful, which I also like.
