Uneven bevel near handle

So I'm trying to even this bevel out and it not only wasn't centered but on one side near the handle the bevel is very thin. Its right after the choil and then widens as it goes to the tip. Would this just be a low spot or is it possible the angle is off in just that small spot. Best idea to just let it come out after a while? Or possible to fix it in a sitting? Any knowledge would be appreciated.

Are you freehanding, or using a guided system?

Methinks I would choose to continue with freehand re-profiling of those bevels, with a very coarse stone.
Seems to me the Lansky and Precision Adjust, both with their smaller stones, could easily make the problem worse by repeatedly falling into the same low spot?
