Uneven bevel question

I recently spent several hours reprofiling my at 0560 and when I got all done crazy sharp but I noticed the bevel isn't even. It looks good from handle to about 3/4 the length then it starts to grow. Why did the happen and how do I fix it? I should mention I use a lansky diamond kit and have on many many knives without results like this. But never reprofiled to the angle of 20° marked on board clamp

Depending on the blade geometry what happened to you I would consider normal. I also have a Lansky diamond kit and get this look with a couple knives I have. Most likely the reason the bevel is bigger near the tip is because the blade is thicker up there. Up near the tip it is closer to the full thickness of the blade, compared to the flat portion of the cutting edge being farther from full thickness, and being a little thinner.
