One of the worst thing for me,when a buy a knife on internet is to get a knife with uneven grind line that make me sick...and its happen too much often!
and for you? Do you get some knives with uneven grinf line?

Personally, I don't worry too much about it. After I sharpen the knife a few times I get quite the uneven grind line, and it never gets better.

Cheers,

Carl

It's always temptin' to buy on-line especially if it works out cheaper.
But you're right, a buyer must be prepared for nasty mismatched grinds...
Can one ever overcome the shock and ill feelin's received from havin' bought an excellent example of bad stock removal handiwork from what could have been otherwise considered a dream knife buy with highest of product quality expectations?
Though, I suspect that it's not usually the fault of the seller/reseller in the first place!

I had BM Opportunist with uneven grinding, but BM replaced it for me free of charge (and they even refunded me shipping costs)

I also have SOG Field Pup with not even grinds, but I never contacted warranty about this.

I know we all dislike uneven grinds and SOG does everything it can to eliminate them. Please keep in mind that the knives are manufactured item and there will be variances in the manufacturing process. There will be times when a few get through but for the most part we try and make sure that everything is even.

We had a difficult time with this and the X-42 Recondo, this is one reason the knife was discontinued. We were having to reject too many of the blades and it ended up hurting the item sales.

If any one ever ends up with a knife that they are unhappy with please contact our warranty department and they will be happy to assist you.
