Uneven grind on Gayle Bradley. Warranty issue?

I bought a Gayle Bradley from an online retailer this summer. When I went to sharpen it on the Wicked Edge for the first time a couple weeks ago I noticed the grind is off on one side. It makes using the WE a bit trickier because it doesn't sharpen evenly on both sides. Basically when I hold the knife with the blade vertical it looks slightly tilted to one side. I don't have a DSLR camera so unfortunately I can't get it much clearer than this:

If you look closely you can see that the grind on either side of the blade at the end of the choil is not evenly spaced between both sides. The bottom side is shorter than the one on the top in this photo:

Then I noticed that the grind on one side isn't in a straight line. It's actually cut lower on one side than on the other:

Compare how close the grind goes to the Spyderhole in that picture with this one. This grind is in a straight line and it's closer to the Spyderhole than on the other side:

Anyway, is this something that Spyderco would fix under warranty or are uneven grinds "cosmetic issues" that aren't covered? I'm going to keep and use the knife either way but having even grinds would make touchups on the Sharpmaker a bit easier.

I have noticed uneven grind/bevels on seki city made Spydercos but not the Taiwan and U S made, anyhow very annoying

Maybe you should just use it. They aren't museum pieces afterall. It's not like a Randall Maded Knife, or a Loveless.

I paid an extra penny or two to get a no logo gayle Bradley only to use it! Use your knife because after all is said and done it will not be perfect!

It's obviously not a museum piece, it's a $140 knife that has lopsided grinds. In my first post I said, "Anyway, is this something that Spyderco would fix under warranty or are uneven grinds "cosmetic issues" that aren't covered? I wouldn't call those lopsided. I doubt Spyderco would view it as a warranty issue.

Congratulations, uneven grinds means your knife was handmade. :)

Remeber, most people are left or right handed, thus a slight difference in grind from side to side is to be expected on a handmade knife.

If you sharpened free-hand, there would be no problem. One of the risks of having a fixed angle sharpener is that your blade may not match the pre-set angles.

Since you received the knife, inspected it, used it, why do you think you can return it now for an "issue" that is cosmetic and should have been noticed at the outset?

It has Zero affect on sharpening.

I didn't inspect the grinds until I went to reprofile on the Wicked Edge. As soon as I went to reprofile it I noticed the bad grind.

I don't want to return the knife and if you read my posts you'll see I never mentioned returning it. For the 3rd time, I wanted to know if I could send it to Spyderco and have them fix the grind. It sounds like they don't care so I'll just deal with it as best I can on the Wicked Edge.

Why not just call or email Soyderco and ask?
