Uneven Parkerizing

So I tried to parkerize my first knife, however the finish isn’t as even as I hoped. I thought I prepped the steel properly (sandblasted, degreased with duracoat specific degreaser, and prepped the solution with steel wool). I am getting some streaks in the finish, and on one side it is pretty pitted. Any ideas what might cause this, and how I can get a more even finish on the knife? Here are some pictures of my setup

thanks

Directions say 5-15 minutes at 180F, I left it in fir about 7 minutes once the bubbles stopped forming

Try swishing it around to release the bubbles. Also there can be sludge from the solution forming on one side of the blade.

Not sure if you saw the photo of my setup, but not seen in that is that I made a homemade blade holder from some 1/4" stainless I had laying around. One is a U shape where the tang rests, and the other is a V shape where the edge sits. This lets me suspend the blade edge up or down without touching the sides of the pan.

Anyways, back to your point, do you mean to to periodically move the blade around while its parkerizing? A lot of that white sludge was definitely forming, but I was afraid to touch the knife at all while it was doing its thing.

Thanks
