Unexpected acquisition!

Was down at my favorite knife store and this left with me! Montana Americana, just shy of 4 inch blade, 1095.

Im not sure how they get that affect. It looks like raw stock that hasnt been polished but I dont know for sure.

They are heavily etched to give them the damascus look. They were at every pow wow for a few years, usually being sold as damascus by people who didn't know. I finally traced down the maker to River traders of Oregon.
