I went to visit Mom (and Dad) this morning for Mothers’ Day. Both are in fairly good health for their age (69 and 71) but they’re considering downsizing their home, and are gradually getting rid of stuff. So after breakfast, they brought out some items they had each set aside thinking I might want.
Among the items was a very cool little honing rod that had belonged to my paternal grandpa. It’s just shy of four inches long and has “Germany” and “F. Dick” stamped on the rod.
