The other day at lunch I picked up one of those Go Snacks 3D Doritos packs. After ripping off the packaging and eating the chips I couldn't bring myself to throw away the cool cylinder they came in. With its cool looks, crushproof-ness and supposed waterproofness, I thought that they must be useful somehow. My only task is to find what I should store in them.My immediate thought was something for my survival/gadgets backpack.

So bring your ideas about what these things could be used for.

Umm, storing your knives comes to mind. ;)

Place some foam padding around your knife and slip into the container.

Superb for storing/packing underwear. And they are waterproof containers !

No, that's another reason why I think they'll be perfect for carrying stuff. They're odor-free as far as I can tell.
But, all your gear will smell like Doritoes!!

I need more ideas.

Make it into a first-aid kit, or store basic essentials and slip it into a belt pouch...

small space blanket
fire starting gear (spark and tinder)
water filtration straw or purifying tabs
large garbage bag
small knife
small flashlight

These might all fit in...

Roger that one, Snow.

I think you should use one for storing your undies, too. Actually, I think I will work on acquiring a few of them before training this summer...

Hmmmm.., some interesting ideas.., I just threw one of those out so I'm going to the garbage...lol...

Well I have tried a few different things with them, and I found that one of them will hold about 100 feet of paracord perfectly. I'll write more ideas once I experiment more.
