I won't be able to go ahead with the 710 pimp job of my bk9. So I've decided to leave her stock ,find a nice spot of bush to beat the snot out of her , and next month I'm gonna buy myself an 11 and a 10.

Sucks it didn't turn out the way you wanted but that sounds like a pretty good back up plan.

Excellent. I love the 11 a lot, and I'm lusting after a 10.

Sorry to hear about the events.

image.jpgYeah my phone went under a car . Fun times ! Killed all my play money for the month. Nice photo chalet , thanks

Ouch! Things like this make me miss my old flip phone. I even used that goofy thing as a door stop in college whenever I needed to sneak out of the back door of the dorm for a short while.

Aw man , one time I had this brand new phone in the top pocket of my shirt, I was taking a wizz and it fell outta my pocket into the toilet  was not impressed ! Guess it's just one of those things you have to laugh off

Can you hear me now?

I guess I've just been lucky. Knock on wood. I've never lost or broken a phone since I started carrying a cell phone after I became a certified SCUBA instructor back in 1995. Still have the same phone number too.

I had my last work phone for 6 years - a VZ3500 or some such - and never replaced the battery....those things are only good for about a 1000 charge/discharge cycles. I was ready to throw it under my truck wheel just so I could get a phone with goddamn bluetooth.... Finally convinced the office it was having problems, and they replaced it...with another flip phone that was still working great after more than three years with the same battery....unfortunately, my personal electronics don't do as well, some of the time. Although my desktop is still rockin' the Pentium D from 2005. Slow as all getout, but still keeps working. That pisses me off. It's hard to justify the cost of replacement, and it desperately needs it. Just got rid of my 20 year old TV....but only because my folks got us a new one for Christmas. It was still working great, but who the hell wants a 20 year old 30" CRT TV? No one, that's who. Not even for the low, low price of free.

I've always wanted to put an axe through a TV
What's also fun is throwing them off the second (or third) floor...did that a couple of times in college. Also, though completely unrelated, worked at a bicycle shop that sponsored a car demolition event....$5 for a swing at a junker with an 8 lb. sledge. Destruction is profitable. We also used to (at a different bike shop) have some Fridays that involved beer and the hammer throwing of bicycles...and running them over, and many other kinds of taking out of aggression on bikes...very therapeutic when you work on them day in and day out. Fun times.

Anyway , 7 or 10 ? I already own a 9,4,17,15,14, and 2. next month I'm gonna buy a 16, two sets of factory micarta for tweeners , an 11 , and I can afford a seven or ten after that. I'm leaning towards the ten , as my bk2 is the older version , kabar made , but smooth coating and roll stamped. The 17 and and 16 are gonna get the micarta , leaving the 15 with factory scales.

Sounds like a good plan.

Well, by my count, you have started 17 "not off topic" threads (plus 1 off topic) in the Becker forum - requirement is 5.
You have more than the required 75 posts on bladeforums.
You have more than the required 25 relevant posts in Becker threads.
You have posted pics of your Becker knives.

So, you meet the "academic" requirements of being a Beckerhead. The question is whether you have the proper "Beckerhead Attitude". To paraphrase Master Yoda, "Be or Be Not. There is no maybe." You must BE the Beckerhead in your own mind before others will acknowledge that you are a Beckerhead. :D So if you believe you are a Beckerhead, then follow the instructions :p and apply.

I've asked for my becker head status . As for next month around the 15th I've decided to order ; a bk 16 , a bk11 , a bk10 , two sets of factory micarta scales for tweeners , and a kabar 1283.
