Yep....another NMFBM thread. But can you really blame those of us who were lucky enough to order one? Ok, maybe you can!
She's a beast, sharpest Busse I've had yet, Shave Sharp, the convex grind down to a zero edge is way cool, although it may have to go away when it comes time to sharpen it but for now I'm liking it.
It's way thicker and heavier than I thought it would be, that and the sharpness I imagine are the reasons why it was package the way it was. Double boxes and fiber tape! She's blade heavy, but I expected that and considering it's design I truely feel it should be blade heavy. This feature and the convex grind should make it the best Busse chopper yet.
Handles look real cool and feel great in my bare hands but I'm thinking I actually may prefer the regular mags over these. I'll be testing that and hopefully alot more this weekend. The fit and finish of the handles are what you would expect from a full custom. From what I can see.....Flawless.
I'm amazed at the finish, the blade is almost a brushed satin and the choil, talon hole, pommel, and thumb indent are very polished but not mirrored. They feel and look way cool.
I'll hopefully have some user reviews after the weekend, I'm taking my CG FBM to compare it too. I'll also be doing a comparison between the saber SFNO and the flat grind SFNO. Should be a very boring weekend.....Sierras & Busses, what a drag!
Enought yammering....pics Pulease!
