Just got my medium recurve from Tom. Took about four months. She's a nice piece of work. I like the thumbstud, opens smooth and locks up tight and cuts like crazy. Plain Jane and that's the way I like it!

Nice knife Scott Dog! I decided to go with the butt-numbing road trip up to Eugene and pick one up myself. A sweet medium recurve, but totally holy.

How'd you fill up the holes?

Tom makes Titanium paste from all the shavings, and uses that to fill the holes back in when somebody requests no holes.
that way he gets satisfaction of drilling and customer is pleased at same time

With holes or wholes, I still think the TNT looks like a great design. But I have to admit a little surprise at seeing this particular godforsaken manifestation of evil.

A Mayo knife without holes? Is that anything like a ham and cheese sandwich, but without the mayo?

Probably not.

Anyway, I did utter a couple of unholey incantations when I saw that knife. I wonder, has Tom drilled any holes in his own head yet? Some folks think trephination of the skull leads to enlightenment. I think Tom's holes just make things a little lighter. Tom is always going around trying the lighten things up.

Nice work Tom. It is good to see a Maker's work that is whole, honest, and complete, with or without holes.

Great looking knife!

Now that I've looked at it again, I think I know why I like it more than previous versions.

The blade shape and grind lines are very similar to the DDR custom EDC.

Good Idea!

Tom,

I hope you have managed to build up a nice stash for the Blade Show.

BTW, was your drill press getting serviced?

i heard he free-handed the holes with a Dewalt rechargeable, hence the uneven look

Maybe Tom just plain missed

Kidding aside, is it noticably heavier than the perforated version?

Well, I have not handled one this size with holes but I can say that it carries very light and slim in the pocket, I don't even know it's there. It's very nice knife and I'm enjoying it more the more I use it. Thanks Tom!
