Unidentified axe

I have a 10" double bit with a name I do not recognize. I see letters "merel" on the side of it. The 'm' I am not absolutely sure about. There may be other letters ahead of it. The 'l' looks like it's the last one.
It is 3 3/4 pounds and I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

ME????!!!!?!?!?!? As long as I'm allowed to ask the hand tool panel (i.e. Steve Tall, 42blades, HandAxeProMan, Pipeman, etc) I can figure it out!

Can you post any pics of it? Will cleaning it reveal anything more?

The easiest way to troubleshoot this might be for you to try again, and if it doesn't work, leave the failed post here on the forum for us to check out.
