I just finished this one today so please excuse the buffing compound on the blade near the guard. I bought some buffalo horn scales at the Blade show that had the outside "bark" still in tact. The scales were fairly large and although I seldom make a knife this large (I find it tough enough to get a straight grind on a 4 inch blade) I just had to use these handles. It came out with an interesting combination of textures and color.

This knife is 12 1/4 inches long with a 7 1/4 inch blade. I used 3/16 inch ATS34 and which I hollow ground.

I always appreciate comments.

Very nice knife! Here's what I think.. It's great the way it is but I would have put a thong hole and made the choil at the ricasso long enough to put you index finger for choking up on the blade. Just my opinions.

Blade looks exceptional (havent seen one of yours I dont like yet), how come you placed the pins in such a ways though? Is it to take the focus off that killer blade? :D

I like that knife and most of your knives, however I dont like the name placement its diff, but if it were on the spine of the knife or down near the hilt or something diff. I really like the style and the lines but that is one thing that somewhat looks off to me.

Great looking knife. It looks like you did a good job of getting the grind lines straight :). The buffalo horn looks as good as any I have seen.

I felt the same way when I saw that. To my eye it just looks out of place where it is. Otherwise, I like the knife alot.
