I know there's not much new, so when I saw this I thought I'd FYI. I guess you could call it a ceramic stick, sort of. I ordered one since I'm a sucker for cheap gadgets. He has a few left. If you're interested it's eBay item 370262362965 . It's either a new widget that will be around, or a one time production run that's here now and soon will be .

That's weird. I've never seen a ceramic stone shaped that way. Not that it's some revolutionary idea to have rounded ends or something. It's just odd.

What's really odd is that is says "Norton Pakco Industrial Ceramics" on it and uses the Norton logo. But I've never heard of "Pakco" before. Doing a web search on norton pakco, I get a patent on a sharpening device for razors that uses a slurry. Doesn't seem to be the same thing.

So what is this thing, what grit is it, what's it designed for, and who is this hybrid named company?

Brian.
