As I replied in a different post, the fantastic and colorful UG designs really draw me to CRKs. Just received this one today. I was really feeling bummed when dinokay snagged that tiger cameo Sebenza. I really liked it when I saw it, but a family emergency here took my time and attention away from pursuing it (just glad someone here got it and was able to share pictures and personal joy with us!). Anyway, I did find this one and am no longer feeling bummed!!

Only problem now is that it doesn't want to leave my hand!!

awesome catch! reminds me of a native american feather adornment. is the cabochon citrine? i can't tell if the anodizing is playing with the colors, or i'm wrong and it's some other gem

Thanks. The design looks stunningly different, depending on the angle at which you look at it. The cabochon inlay is black mother of pearl.

Man, I don't generally dig the Uniques but the last few in here have been pretty cool, this one included.

Great snag!

Hope all is well with the family!

Thanks all. Just wanted to mention that there was something interesting about this knife. Actually, it is more a comment about CRK customer service. Here's a pic I took for my collection inventory:

Notice anything? Birth card says S30V with a birth date of Apr 30th, 2012. Thought to myself .... something doesn't seem right here (not that I really care ... have lots of S30V knives and frankly don't find a huge difference between 30V and 35VN). Anyway, called CRK and they are going above and beyond to find out what the deal is. Most likely, someone just made a slip-up writing out the card (perhaps doing some Mnandi cards prior to this one) ... in which case, they will send me a new (correct one). Bottom line is that I have talked with them about various things probably 4 times now (Angela, Heather and even Ann Reeve) .... each time was an absolute pleasure and have always ended the conversation with the unmistakable feeling that they love what they do and care about their customer family.

OMG! Simply gorgeous!! I love the UG's and that's one of the best ones I've seen. Except mine of course, lol. Too bad I've limited myself to Larges only. I know it will cause me to miss out on many stunners like that one. If I don't give myself rules, I''ll be bankrupt on the damn knives!

Thanks .... and funny how that goes!! Kind of like a newborn baby .... YOURS is ALWAYS the cutest one in the world!!! I really understand! You know, as much as I like all of the Sebenzas, large and small ... I still find myself drawn to the smalls a hair more. Even though I have large hands, I find a 3 inch or so blade more appealing. Besides I have plenty of knives with larger blades (including 4 large Sebenzas). And .... not to utter words bordering on blasphemy in a CRK forum ... just received a new custom Shirogorov model 95 with a 4.125 inch blade. So, when I am rooting around for my next Sebenza, I always start by looking for the smalls!

That is one Beautiful Sebenza you have there Dennis, I especially love the black mother of pearl. Congratulations Brother and Thank You for sharing.

On the contrary .... I should be thanking you. Your acquiring that beautiful tiger agate cameo pushed me to search high and low for something to shake off the sadness of not being able to snag it myself!!!

I was looking at that one last week. Snooze, lose.

Nice score.

I was looking at that one last week. Snooze, lose.

Isn't that the truth!!! Happened to me MORE times than I even want to think about ..... which is why I've adopted the policy: if my initial impression is that I like it and probably want it .... I just take action immediately (if I have the disposable cash, that is!). Lost too many that I really wanted by taking time to think about it for a while!
