unique ivory grips

Here are some beautifully carved ivory grips from a knife that is probably from the late 1800s. Even though all this time and artistry went into the carving, the blade and scabbard are very standard.

Seax, I hope you see this. Can't you almost see a VIKING khukuri in here somewhere? And check out the C & K. You've just gotta love this stuff.

Outstanding pics. Thanks JP! BTW, seeing the C & K both have spines with little bumps, almost like fine teeth (one also appears to be ferruled). Does this have a function, or is it just a style? I wonder if it's unusual, and if the big knife has them also. Then again, it could just be the resolution in the photo.

Dan, that's photo resolution. All the blades were standard but the karda does have a cho type notch.
