Unique piece forged with a boat chain link from the former Royal gunpowder factory of Louis XIV


the blade is made up of two flanks in 17th century artisanal steel from a boat chain link from the former Royal gunpowder factory of Louis XIV, with 5 steel sections in the center to continue the variations given by this period steel

it will be my one and only of my entire career for this piece with this piece of history, it is available.

This is very cool - I have to know the story behind the acquisition of the steel, though. "17th century artisanal steel from a boat chain link from the former Royal gunpowder factory of Louis XIV" makes me want more detail.
1) How do you know that it's artisanal steel? Is all steel from that era assumed to be artisanal?
2) Was the steel made at the royal gunpowder factory, or simply found at that site?
3) How do you know that the steel is from the 17th century?
4) Any documentation to support any of this?
