Some time ago my dear friend gave me two Stuart Ackerman cast Dendritic blades to put handles on, the small one to go to my friend and the other for me to keep/sell. The other day I finished the blades, I understood that the blades came from Stuart Ackerman so I got in touch with him, I explained that I ground the tangs, bevels and put handles on them, I explained to him since the blades came from him there should be some level of credit, so I worked it out simply by putting a logo together that makes sense. I wanted to give Stuart some credit. I thought the knives came out amazing.

They look great, Farid. Love the handle choice. What material is it?

I've just handled 2 serratas for someone myself. The blades are wicked, and take a lovely edge but God the handles were like bananas, I had to take lot of steel off tapering the tang to not see daylight through the middle.

Hi, The handle is green G10. warping of blades is one of the biggest challenges we makers face in this game, I can not heat-treat more than small batches of blades because for the first few minutes as they come out for air quenching I have to be there incase any of the blades need straightening and I do that on a hand lever press next to me with a simple setup on it. You did a good job on the handles.

It wasn't that they were bent, it was that they were almost hollow ground. If you put a straight edge against them it only touched at the ricasso and the butt of the handle!
