Unique Schrade ?

Hi to everybody and thanks in advance for your help .

Picked up an old homemade nightstand on the side of the road and discovered a Shrade knife in a hidden comparment. Closed the knife is 4" open it's 7".It was in a brown cloth bag with a pull string closure. The blade is hooked like a linoleum knife. The handle is wood, walnut would be my guess.

Stamped on the blade is

Schrade
Cut Co.
Walden, NY

There's also an emblem on the lower third of the handle.

This part is encircled by a rope engraving with Trade Mark under the rope.

I've searched this site and most of the internet with no success using various combinations of the above inscription with no success. Anybody have any ideas ?
 
Chances are a 1361. if it has a flat pommel end COCOBOLO wood. a 1361SHA if it has a shakel ( or a hole for one ) round bottom was a 1391 That issue was made for a rope company. . Which is why it has that shield. If I recall they used the flat model for that contract. That is from memory so I may be wrong. depending on condition and which version -20 to 50+ dollars.
made pre 46. I for get when however I believe in the 40tys I do not believe that it was earlier than the mid 30tys.

Is a shakel like a lanyard ? It has holes on either side equally opposing but they don't go all the way through.

Here is a scan of four such knives from the Schrade Cut. Co. Catalog E Supplement for 1932.



1932 was a pivotal year for the nation, and saw several cutlerys close, and many other industries as well. Schrade added 22 patterns and their varients that year. While the Schrade Cut. Co. stamps ended circa 1946 when the Baer brothers assumed control, Schrade Walden continued to make some of these patterns for many more years.
