New man to here.Just want to know if the colour will fade ,the bright surface will scratch, the inlay will come out? And does the CRK can provide the service to fix the problems? Thanks! Sorry about my poor English!

I carried a unique for about 1.5 years. The scene definately got scratched and the color faded some. I never carried it in the slip case, always in my pcoket.

CRK fixed it up for me when I sent it in for a refurb fee.

My EDC is a unique. It has worn extremely well. I carry it clipped in my right pocket and am careful not to carry other metal objects in that particular pocket. Other than that, no special treatment.

The polished surfaces have not taken any scratches, and the annodized surfaces are recessed sufficiently such that the colored finish hasn't seen degradation from rubbing. Of course, finger oils, fish guts, etc. cause the colors to be dull, but a mild cleaning with windex brings back the brilliance.

Here's my 2003 EDC in a picture taken in Jan. of 2005, after a couple years of carry. It's appearance hasn't changed signficantly since then, with the exception of the thumb lug(s) looking new due to a recent upgrade to double thumb lugs.

CRK's refurb service is impressive -- best deal on the planet.

Good luck with your carry decisions!

My EDC Stars and Stripes has seen some abuse. Fooj knows this knife. It sat in a puddle of water for several months when I lost it last year. Good as new after a cleaning by CRK. I use my knives and don't baby them. The unique models clean up pretty well as Fooj says with a little Windex.

My EDC has cleaned/skinned several deer and elk, as well as countless small game animals and fish. A little soap and water and it is good as new.

My EDC rotation includes a large graphic Sebenza and a couple of small wood inlay models. I use 'em, they get marked up, scratched, dull, etc. That's what they're for.

I chose to carry my small sebenza in a William Henry clip case. It solved the coin/metal object issue and has kept my knife in very good shape...
