This thread is not specifically for unique knives but for what we do with them that might be unique to us.

if you have a unique practice in your traditional knife collecting or use post it up here.

Some of the things I do quite often but have never seen anyone else do as a common practice include carrying certain folding knives as if they were a fixed blade, and carrying small knives in my shirt pocket.

One of these peanut class pocket knives will frequently be found in my shirt pocket tucked safely under my smoking tobacco.

Two of my very favorite more substantial knives are a Case/Bose collaboration lanys clip and a GEC 74 yellow Rose.Strangely enough I have found I prefer to carry these 2 knives as if they were fixed blades. I use these knives when I am working and occasionally, access to a good blade with one hand is just indispensable.

If you have a specific practice in your collecting carrying or use of traditional knives share it here, and maybe we will not have to feel so alone, Who knows there could be some other weirdo that does the same thing you do.

Only thing I can think of that I usually do might be considered "unusual" is simultaneously carry both a Buck 110, a two blade slipjoint folding hunter on my right hip, and between two to four slipjoints loose in my right front pocket, plus a fixed blade, (and sometimes a second Buck 110) and a slingshot (with a chew can of slingshot ammo), in my rollator's tote/shopping bag?
Or maybe possibly not change my daily "EDC" for weeks, or months at a time?

I have a somewhat peculiar way of eating tangerines. I peel off the rind and then pull out a pocket knife and use the pen blade to "skin" it (scrape all that white stuff off). I take way too much time and am too pedantic while doing it but hey, it's an escuse to fiddle around with a knife a bit, I guess. I do it in the evenings while listening to a podcast or some music, not sure if it's relaxing or more of a frustration though ... :D
