United Cutlery-all bad?

I was looking at some Kissing cranes, and when I found that they were made/owned/whater by UC, I was immediately turned off. Given their reputation, do they offer knives worth owning anywhere in their lineup?

United makes(really contracts) some good knives, but they get overshadowed by the junk. Camillus, Fox, Boker, etc... haave all made knives for them.

Falcon cutlery of Italy makes the Kissing Crane line for them.

I know that United Cutlery do not make the Kissing Crane knives, they are made by Robert Klass of Germany, and I don't know if they own the company or not. I think they are just a wholesale distributor for Kissing Crane, but I could be wrong.

Personally, I would not exclude Kissing Crane from consideration just because of their association with United.

Klaas does little making of knives now, they contract from others, and United imports these to the U.S.A.:).

bob is right here, if it is the Italian style Stiletto they are made in Italy not Germany despite what they say.....UC imports a lot of junk, but also a few good ones....
