The United Cutlery Survival Kukri Sawback Machete.

Discuss.

"Silly" comes to mind.

But it is "survival"....so it will probably sell like donuts at a fat guy convention.

It's like a cool machete and mall ninja knife party, but someone forgot to invite the cool machetes.

If you have a kukri....do you need a sawback?

That's silly. So I'm waiting for their United Cutlery Titanium Survival Kukri Tactical Nessmuk Sawback Parang Bushcraft Scandi Machete to come out. That I'm getting!

I see you've been a member for some years now, what do you want to discuss about it ?
It's probably okay for playing around in your garden, but you also know that name "United Cutlery" will never hear a kind word around here. I've never handled any of their knives, probably never will. But I'm pretty sure most of their blades are ...lacking in quality. Anyone who have been here for a few months, will know the general opinion about this company...Soo what do you want to talk about ??

Seems like you figured it out. Discuss whatever you want. A conversation has to start somewhere, don't it?

Looks like the color scheme will match the bear grills survival knife perfectly. I'm ordering them both right now so I'll be ready to survive!

Better yet--pit them against each other in a steel cage match. :p

I don't get how youre supposed to use the saw part. Unless you're supposed to hold it by the guard, but that doesnt look like it had a lot of control. Also, why is there a guard? Oh yeah, survival.

And why is there a lanyard? Other to put a skull bead on it, I can't see any use for it.

:D You know what it needs?

Some spikes on that D-guard.

yes, that would make it about perfect. even better if it had a little dagger style or americanized tanto style knife hidden away in the handle. then it would be true survival.:)

that aside, it appears from the picture it has a copy of the condor hole in the blade, different shaped hole...maybe closer to a spyderco hole....but.....then as said before the bear gryllis color scheme....man o man........

so it doesn't fly our of your hand when chopping off heads and such.......

I like how the blade is black so the enemy sentry can't see you chopping shrubbery, but then the yellow handle ruins it.

I also like how the pirate cutlass handle prevents your from using the (probably worthless) saw on the back.. unless you grab it by the blade!!

Another gem, by united cutlery

Just to add something positive here, it looks like it could probably make a fairly good knock around blade for your shrubbery or back yard garden. You could abuse the heck out of it and avoid using your more valuable blades on such mundane tasks. Then, when you pack your gear to go out into the woods and play mountain man, you can leave this thing hanging in the tool shed and strap on whatever knife, kukri, machete, sword, or axe you have the most confidence in, and blaze your own new trail.
