Saw this on another thread today:

may not look too good but actually is one of my favourite slip joints

I googled it as "Frosch tool" and found several suppliers. Also found it as "frog tool". (Sorry for the German.)

I found it here for $5.99 and through Amazon for $17 something.

A few questions: are these useful or just novelties? Any reason to expect the more expensive unit to be made any better than the less expensive one?

I think the metric unit appears to be much more useful. The U.S. version looks very cluttered, at least to me.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I have both metric and US versions. They are pretty decent for what they areI got them on closeout online for less than $5 each a few years back.

There's also this frog tool, which may or may not be related, but is very similar. I have not seen one of these in person.

This is also the one that I have. I had not seen the one originally posted. I also don't know if they are related or not but mine is bulletproof. While not the most convenient the sheath is great and the one piece tool is more reliable than any multi. I don't carry mine but it is always in either the glove compartment or my gear bag.
