It is definetly designed to be a defensive tactical hawk. The blade has the most aggressive edge designed for hooking someone's arm during an attack, or disarming. The axe head is milled out presumeably to shave weight and increase swing speed. I doubt there is much use here for setting up camp purposes like pulling stakes. The blade edge seems to be wider than deeper. This means that the shoulders of the axe head are very close to the blade edge. I've yet to get the m48 utility sharp where it can cut a piece of paper. I've spent an hour on diamond stone at a 30 degree angle for rebevelling and still didn't get the desired results. If somebody had some sharpening tips for this hawk, and it did get sharp, it would be a good one to have.
