Hi Everybody,

I am brand new. I am just starting to investigate some of the collectibles I've inherited. One of these is a small pocket knife -- about 1 1/2" long. The blade is engraved "United States Senate" and at the base of the blade it reads "SCHRADE +" on the first line and "U.S.A. LB-1" on the second line.

I am interested in finding out what this is worth but I haven't found any hits online through Google or on eBay.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you!

There were several knives made as U.S. Senate commemoratives. I recall seeing a black handled Century pattern knife with the Senate emblem, and I have records of a 1996 issue 505USS Commemorative. It was a stockman pattern with "104th Congress" on the master blade, "United States Capitol 1855" on the spey blade. It had the standard 505SC tang stamp, and a picture of the capitol building with "U.S. Senate" hotstamped on the ivory delrin mark side cover. There were 24 ordered, and a similar design with "105th Congress" on the master blade. There were 144 of these ordered.

These are the only three I have direct knowledge of. But it would not be surprising to learn that there were more patterns and years made. Sorry I can't recall your particular knife. I'll look thru my photo archives for pictures.

EDIT: I found what I mis-remembered as a Century pattern, and it is a DL-2 DuraLens.

Michael,
You and Larry never cease to amaze me with your Schrade knowledge. When will the whirlwind tour of Schrade Cutlery be making it through Indiana? I've got to buy my tickets now!!!!!!!!!:)
