Here are a few I've noticed:

The God of Folders carries a SEBENZA!

Busse makes the best "beat-the-Hell-out-of-it-and-come-back-for-more" knives

Bob Dozier makes the finest cutting knives(period)

Frost's of Sweden makes the damn scariest sharpest knives.

The AXIS lock ROCKS!

CRKT gives the "best bang for the buck" knives in the industry.

Kershaw Vapor becoming available at Wallyworld is the best thing since _____________________ .(please fill in the blank yourself)

Cold Steel's over-hype makes one want to :barf:

Every once in a while, some yahoo will come on and waste bandwidth with a post like this.:p

There are plenty more Universal BFC Truths out there, my feeble mind cannot recollect them now.
Please feel free to add to the list or modify as needed. Humor is most welcome too.:)
 
In the time I spent surfing the forums tonight alone I could have:

Sharpened three knives....
Polished one fixed blade or two folders...
Put the handle back on my Pilots knife...
Cleaned off my workbench...
Put away a weeks worth of old sandpaper, tools, and crap, that I trip over on my way to the computer....

:D....I can't go on.....

Well I was testing mine's sharpness, and I tilted the knife just a wee bit and low and behold my skin was slowly seeping blood out, while I didn't know for sure whether I just cut the epidermis or really drawn blood. They're bloody sharp.
They may be universial truth in the forums, but until I've try them all out I won't declare them true for me ;)
 
Play with khukuris long enough and a 16.5" overall knife with 7/16ths spine thickness weighing 1&3/4 pounds starts to seem nicely balanced and handy to keep around. Even when it isn't a full moon.

The Universal Truth for me is that any new knife I see , like and purchase will be the last knife I buy. But that truth is nullified when I see the next knife I like.

And I know I need help as I just spent five minutes looking at ASHES group of SMILIES as I swear I thought I could read something spelled out in with RED SMILIES. Even went so far as to copy it and use a PC program to flip it around in an effort to READ it sideways.

I need to get out more. I think they are having a marathon session of LazerTag this weekend and my son and his friends want to go. Does that count as going out ? Oh and the knife show this weekend too.

Damned SMILIES.
