I came across a 1918 style trench knife at a flea market and picked it up at a good price. I know it is a repro but trying to find out how vintage it is.

The handle has been chrome plated and is smooth, more like the real 1918 not like the clunky repros.

the blade is marked "PIC#726" and "stainless steel Japan" there is scroll engraving on the blade that says "Sea Hunter."

I will try and post pictures. Let me know if you know anything about this knife.
Thanks
Ryan

Thank you so much for reply! It is a dive knife but not sure the handle is original. The tang fit and screw is perfect so it was either well done or factory.

Yes, it is original. The knuckle-duster handle is used to punch sharks in the nose with while diving.

:D No. It isn't. Sorry. Just messing with you. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you have a low-quality, relatively-modern (70s-'80s Japanese?) dive blade attached to a low-quality, relatively-modern trench blade handle knock off with a nut.

This is a tough one. The knife is 1970's. Usually those Sea Hunter knives are mounted in a fat rubber handle, but during the 70's, knuckle guard diving knives were a little fashionable, so PIC might of offered it as a limited option.
