Hey Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and very much a knife newbie so please bare with me. A couple of days ago I went to Big 5 Sporting Goods because I've been wanting to buy a good quality, half serrated, fixed blade knife for under $70. I quickly purchased this Browning Fixed blade on sale for $39 from its original price of $59 without giving it a second thought. I thought I would do more research about the knife when I got home because I had heard that browning was a pretty good brand. The box the knife came in only had a couple things, a two sided paper with safety, and sharpening instructions, the knife, and a sheath. On the knife itself "Model 152" and "China" is lasered in. BUT nowhere, anywhere can I find any information about this knife what so ever! I checked on the Browning website, NOTHING. The Big 5 website doesn't even have this knife listed. The only thing I know is that this knife sounds kind of hollow when I flick it with my finger, but I don't know what that means lol. All I want to know is what material this knife is made from and whether or not I made a mistake buying it. I have not used it and I have kept the receipt. What should I do? Here are some crappy photos from my phone.

thanks, I removed the link. I'm not very happy about it being made in china either, I was under the impression that browning was strictly a U.S brand. Any suggestions for A partially serrated fixed blade for under $70?

Probably only applies to their guns. Most gun company knives are made my Taylor Brand Cutlery, which is well known for being rubbish.

Browning outsources everything they make, period. They contract in several other countries for products.
Some of the knives are domestic, some are Chinese.
The Chinese knives are not necessarily junk, I have a couple here including one little assisted opener I kinda like. :)
Domestic production isn't Taylor, as far as I know.
