Unknown knife information

I just received a knife that my mother found among my dad's things after he died. The brand is Kabar, which I'm not familiar with (I don't believe this is to be confused with the Kbar of US Marine Corps fame--as I recall it was/is a fixed blade). This knife has two
folding drop point plain edge blades and what appear to be bone handles with black texturing at the surface. No idea how old it is as I don't recall ever seeing it before. The only blade marking is at the base of the larger blade and states "Kabar" followed by "1184 USA".

Does anyone have any further info on this? Thanks!

That's definitely the one I have--thanks! It needs quite a bit of work. Evidently it was one that my dad carried in his vehicles for years, as my mother remembers seeing it many times. Looks like it had been left out to rust and it needs to have the hinge pins worked on and the blades reworked. Thanks again for the info!

Basic KABAR 2 blade folding hunter. Carbon steel blades and imitation stag handles. It was made that way from about 1969 until maybe the early to mid 1990's. Camillus actually made them for KABAR in the later years.

Thanks for the info! No wonder my mom remebers it for so many years.
My family came to Utah from Ohio in 1967, so my dad probably bought it out here in the early 70's. Unfortunately he evidently didn't take very good care of it, so it'll need quite a bit of work to bring it back to usefulness. Thanks again.
