I have a 15" hawkbill-bladed knife in a silver-worked dark blue velvet case that I have not been able to identify since I got it 18 years ago. It is somewhat heavy at just over 3lbs and has an 11" blade with a 5/16" wide spinerunning along the entire blade length. The handle, covered in silver paint, has narrow front quillons and a slightly tapered rear bolster.
The case has three silver and gold images. The top one has crossed golden knives - (a kukri and a knife like mine)in a wreath with flowers at the corners. The middle symbol is a mongol-type hat with a flowing horsetail worked in silver. The bottom image has a peacock on a branch of a tree. It also has the same flowers as the top image.
Unfortunately, I do not have attachments privileges, so I cannot upload any images. If you have any idea as to the type and history of this knife, please let me know. If you want to see any images, please let me know how I can get them to you. Thank you very much.
