This I saw at a FX when my instructor at the time was showing us his custom rig (personalized for his work as a scout-swimmer). At the same time, he showed us the knife he had for that job.
Generally, the knife is long and tapering down to a spearpoint, with the general shape of a longer and broader Gerber Mk II. At least one, possibly two depending on how well I remember them, sets of serrations; if two they are of different types and both are set on opposite sides of the blade. One of them segues into a line cutter. A deep groove, apparently a fuller, runs partway down the midline of the blade. The pommel is divided in two, to an offset skullcrusher styled base.
That pommel is actually part of a switch or catch then when hit, converts the whole thing from a dive knife to a (springloaded?) pair of shears.
Was supposed to have been purchased at Okinawa, Japan, for not really that much. Probably made of stainless steel, synthetic grips\handle. Still supposed to be pretty effective for not being expensive.
Anyways, to get to the chase, I'm trying to figure out what the hell this is - who makes it, what's it called, pricing, etc.
Anyone able to help me out, or recognize this from the sound of it?
