Ya' never know who might know what.

I have a CD entitled "The Bonnie Hills of Scotland." Delta Entertainment 2002.

The performers are styled "The Scottish Pipe & Drum Band," but I'm fairly sure no such band exists or existed in 2002.

The playing is faster, higher pitched, and -- somehow - Asian. It reminds me of a tape I have of Indian bagpipe bands parading. Imagine twenty snake-charmers playing Garry Owen to the beat of massed drums.

So, is it possible that a Ghurka Pipe Band is "The Scottish Pipe & Drum Band"?

(Delta Entertainment ain't talkin')

Its currently sold as part of a 4 box pipe & drum by Delta.

Artist listed as "world lounge"

There are Gurkha band cds available.

Mine came in a 2 CD set w/ the second CD being "Scotland the Brave" by "Pipes of Scotland," another mystery band. The second CD cuts sound like what I expect from a pipe band, contrasting shaply with the work of "The Scottish Pipe & Drum Band."

I've wandered over to a bagpipe forum in search of info. (Fora for all!)
