Where can I get a good quality smatchet, not skatchet, full sized, like that offered from Boker, that won't be made on a limited run? I would prefer that it didn't cost much over $250, so I don't think I'll find a custom one. Can someone help me? Thanks.

What the heck is a skatchet??? Boker makes a Smatchet- is that what you want? If you want a smatchet, check out eight sollar mountain forge, or something like that. It is eight dollar mountain (insert different word here).

The maker makes all kind sof blades out of L6 steel, with or without D guards for under $250.

I meant to type smatchet. Thanks. Do you know where I can comtact them? A skatchet, BTW, is an axe like tool that you make a handle for in the field. I am also looking for one of these, and thinking of them at the same time isn't good as the 'K' and 'M' keys are close together.

I remember the name "skatchet". an internet search indicated they were a boyscout tool.
you carry the blade alone, and screw it onto a piece of wood when you want to use it. (or something like that) I didn't find a pic.
