unlocking myerchin knife blade/marlin spike? how do I do it

I'm not familiar with the Myerchin product. Is it locked open? The website says some models are liner locks. That means the blade, and I assume the spike, are locked open by a part of the liner inside the handle that moves under spring tension to butt against the base of the blade to hold it open. You have to push that piece against the side of the liner to allow the blade to close. Give us pictures of what you have, including the inside of the knife where the blade goes when it's closed.

On one of my old Vosscut knives you have to push down on the lanyard shackle to close the marlin spike !Blade is not locked . My earlier one doesn't have a lock,

Yes it is locked open. The spike locks too. Pushing dowm on lanyard clip releases spike but doesn't allow blade to unlock. I bought it years ago and put it away never used it until I found it the other day

I have this Myerchin. Push forward on the lanyard thing. I'd push the lanyard handle towards the blade with my index finger to unlock the blade or the marlin spike (if it were open and locked).
