unmarked cold steel kukri

I have one that came from the Camillus bankruptcy auction. They just ground off the stamp.

Thank for the reply amflud. I picked up a kukri type and it looks like cold steel. I dont see any markings on it. nothing ground off though. The handle ,including the brass lanyard hole, looks like a cold steel. Normally, i try to scan knives, but this is a bit long or I wouldv'e posted a pic.

I have one. Rubber handle, brass lanyard hole. The blade thickness is thinner than the ones they finally wound up producing. I was told mine is a prototype. I like the thinner blade, lighter and cuts very well.

cant you take a pic and upload it to your computer, then to some online site like normal pics?

That is shaped like the old Light Terrain Chopper (LTC) and the new machete. It is not an old LTC, since they all came with leather sheaths until well after 2000. The grind looks a little different than my LTC, but it could be glare from the flash. It also looks a little long for an LTC, which should be 17" IIRC. Is the handle rubber or plastic? CS has done strange things with the stampings over the years, but most are stamped that I've seen. I have an LTC from about '95 or so and it is stamped "Cold Steel" and "Carbon V". Check the pommel for a "2" which would indicate a factory second. Maybe one slipped through. Take care.

Thanks for the reply jdk1. Overall length is 17.25". no number 2 on pommel. rubber handle. The thing that makes me think it is older, is the brass lanyard ring in the handle. Any more thoughts?
