Unmarked fixed blade

While at a local flea market, I saw an unmarked 119. Nothing at all on the blade. He seemed to think it was a handmade knife, but not a Buck. It looked exactly like a production buck. Could one slip out of the factory with no markings at all? Or maybe an unmarked second?
