Unmarked Lil Temperance

Seen a couple of plainedged Lil Temp leaf points today at New Graham Pharmacy. No markings at all, I mean NONE. Sal's initials aren't even on the clip. I would have purchased one out of sheer collector interest, but I don't know how rare (or common) these are.

Anybody know what the deal is?

There were an early batch that got through in this condition, not sure how many in the batch.
I was told that Spyderco will replace it for a "marked up" one, no questions asked. I got one and can find no fault with it at all, so it's not a quality issue. I did however e-mail for a "Sal" clip, I was prepared to pay for it, but it was sent to me free of charge.
