Unmarked Marble Arms knives?

I recently bought an 8 inch fixed blade in a old Marbles sheath. The knife is not marked and looks like it has resided in the sheath for a long time. Is it possible to have a one unmarked? It does not have any obvious signs of grind off. I got it from a man whos father was a Corpsman in WW2 and carried it through the 50s camping etc. It is huge and heavy with a stacked leather handle albeit unlike fighting knives I have seen. I wish I cold post a photo but it seems I cant as of yet. Thank you guys for letting me post in your forum.

It might be a 'theater made' knife made by a GI. Won't be able to say much more until we see a pic.
