Hello Folks , been a while since I made any posts, this is a Tamahagane wakizashi that was forged from my
own steel , Japanese black sand ore and Missouri Black hematite. It started as 2- 75 layer billets forge
welded together and folded 13 times . with the help of a saymak 150 power hammer. OL is a shade over 20"
with a 14" cutting edge. This blade is styled after a naginata . with a 4 foot pole it would be a nagamaki
with a standard Tsuka length it would be a uno-kubi wakizashi. After quench and temper a little , the Blade
edge to shinogi RC. is around 65 above shinogi its around 45 rc. I am in the process of polishing blade but,
because of steel hardness it may take another couple weeks. I will post some pics as I go through the
polishing process....... Thanks for looking ... Bubba-san... Here is link to pictures
