Been browsing BF for a few years now. Lurking really. Rarey post but read for hours.

I've come to the conclusion that Becker owners are the most fun and brand loyal. Between the snark threads and numerous gatherings, y'all seem like a good time. So I recently purchased a bk2. Hasn't quite put my esee 6 out of commission but the bk2 has went from tool box of the company truck to side door pocket.

Thank y'all for hours of entertainment and if I can ever get away from work, maybe I'll see what these gatherings are all about.

Define "brand loyal" because about 40% of the posts in the last snark thread were Busse related. :D And the Opinel freaks might take over the current one.

I actually bought 2 opinels at a gun show years before I found this lovely corner of the internet. Maybe brand loyal was incorrect. Brand passionate maybe. And I havent worked myself up to a busse yet.

Me either. $100 is about my limit for a blade. There are a few $200 knives I'd love to have...

Welcome! Yeah--as solid a group as you'll ever find on the interwebs....maybe cause we're all so dense...;)

I post in the Becker sub-forum, maybe not over an extended period of time, but I tend to be loyal to stuff that works and if it is primarily a single brand, then what can I say. I do tend to change over time in terms of what kinds of tools I am more comfortable using.

what? no pictures? we can't be having no pictures.

To hell with knives. I'm trying to convert this subforum to a stove and cook pot venue.
Welcome lilBIGfoot to the insanity. Chow time is at 5. On Hash Wednesdays, there's usually a line.

Seems like conflicting goals since it would also appear as if you're trying to buy all the stoves. I guess it would just be dedicated to your collection of stoves and regaling us with tales of their use.

Yeah, sort of like worldwood and his Busses. I see it as competing paradigms right now.

Since that thread, I've been on the search for cinder blocks, river rocks, and an old rim. Lol.
