I've come across some Camillus Knives purchased by my father from the President of the Camillus Cutlery Co. We lived across the street from the factory in Camillus, NY at the time in the mid 1950's. They are pristine Lone Ranger and Buck Roger Type Whistle Figural Knives in unopened boxes of 18. There are 18 knives on a CAMCO display board in each box. The Rocket Whistle knives have an 18" lanyard on them. Where would one attempt to sell these without getting ripped off? Thanks.

Sounds like a major score. Get a "professional" appraisal before you decide to sell and please share photos with some of us poor folk. Paid members sell here and of course you could go on that famous auction site with a reserve price.

Most sales of that kind of material seem to happen either on ebay or at knife shows. You could also post in the for sale forums here, but most of the knives sold are current production and custom knives, rather than antique collectibles.

Bernard Levine, the host of the Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification forum here does professional appraisals. You could also post pics in that forum and probably get some good background information and informal input on the values. I'm sure a lot of folks (myself included) would love to see pics.

I would love to see pics before you sell them as well. I love the old Camillus knives as my user name reflects.
Seeing as your new here, you could go to photobucket and set up a free account. Take some pics, upload them to your photobucket account, then just copy the img code and paste it in your message and wallah, your pics are here for every one to see.
Welcome to the forum!!!
