i was unpacking and seems i got this one home from post falls before the rest...
it has 5 sisters which will be here soon i hope...
thought i would share... comments welcome

I like that one. Are you just going to post them one at a time? No need to save the really good stuff for last :)
 
Seriously though, what is the story behind it? Was it a production model, salesman's sample, employee knife or what? Inquiring minds want to know. At least I do.
 
Dave promised not to tar and feather our marketing vp so he gave him a marketing sample...see threats and intimidation do pay off sometimes

That answered my question perfectly. I probably would have never gotten a straight answer out of you.

buck is changing the business logo for next year on packaging
it is already on the business cards.
this is a smaller laser cut of the logo..
as to what CJ was refering to this in another thread.:

well David V did ask me on that!
seems he must read here once in a while!
he had a big smile and grin on his face
as things were talked and stammered of!
i truly do not recall what i said!
i was so shocked he even knew and remembered..
let alone that he said some thing to me of it!!!!
he giggled at my loss for words!
and YES he really really did did say to me next :
"you only collect 110's right?"
and as i pick my jaw up from the floor:
"yes sir,.. how did you know that?"
"come on back here with me, i got some thing to show you "
well not only i get to see, he gave them to me...
the above knife was jest one..
will have to take pictures of the others some time..;)

well they did make 6 and here they are all together!










He said there was only one of each made as a lets see -
only the the two with no color and the four with color made ...
and i believe the logo program for the laser may have been deleted..
so these are the only ones like them that will be made.
note: it was requested by David that they be keep together and displayed as a set so that is what i will do.. so ... sorry i will not trade any away

well,
David did not say what reason they were made or why they were made..
only that they were made as a look see ...
from what i under stood of when they were made...:foot:
it was some time after the poll were i was pushing to get the vote up for a anvil laser etched on the wood of a 110... :eek:
but i am not implying any thing:rolleyes: !
only saying what i think the time frame was :o
the anvil logo project has been on the boards for a good while...
but what would i know ... i dont work there!! :(
 
Now come on Dave. I think your display would look just as nice with 5 of those:D The 5th one down looks like it was lasered a little lighter and maybe crooked too. You better send that one to me. I have a laser pointer. Maybe I can fix it.

IMHO, a rubber handled 110 with an oval hammer & anvil embossed in the rubber would be kewl...not wood...and no "Buck" either; it already says that on the blade... :rolleyes:

Just a nice tasteful logo in the checkered rubber scales, like the 300 series have... :)

If the 110 *has* to have something in the wood, then a NS oval exactly like the 300's would be the bomb... :D

i had in my dry greedy hand one of two with
exactly what you jest described!!!!:eek:
the other is in the Buck museum!
they were made because Chuck want to see what one looked like!!!
i ran out of money !!!!! :barf:it was still there when i left!!:(
but i called later after bucksway said he would front me some cash..
and some one had bought itsight unseen !!!!:mad:
man were they ever lucky i did not get funding sooner!!:grumpy:

i can not see in my hand that it is off any like the 561's were!
it Must Be the camera distortion :thumbup:...
or hand shaking the camera...;)
