Unread Picture Comments Notification?

This has happened a couple of times at least. I'll get a notification that I have "Unread Picture Comments." When I click it, I'm taken to a screen like this one.

However, when I click on that picture or link, I get the following message.

Does anyone know the deal here? Why am I getting these notifications if I can't access the comments? I do have an active Gold membership at BFC.

I use Chrome also, but I've never seen that notification.
