Here’s a new one I just finished up, along the same line as the last few,… turned handle, ferrule etc.

OAL- 10-1/2 inches.
Blade length- 6 inches.
Materials- 1095 steel, sterling silver and cocobolo.

Very unique. Is that Sam in your background?

The background is an unfinished etching on a copper plate that my Dad did when he was just a kid. It was of his brothers training or sparing fighting cocks in Hawaii. He had a brother named Sam, so maybe it is.

Ita, That's one nice butt. Is it serving a purpose as a mechanical fastener or is it there as a decoration?

It's not a fastener, but it protects the butt decoratively. It also plugs the hole in the butt.

I turned handle on a pen mandrel so the hole goes clean through, had to plug the hole... You could think of it as a butt plug.
