I ran into a guy a few days ago with an unusual yet interesting sheath for a small fixed blade, and it triggered a distant memory that I had seen on e lilke it before. I foolishly didnt get a photo, so wonder if some of you might recognize the design by my description.

What was unusual was that the leather belt loop was formed by passing the sheath through an opening in the belt loop. It made for an easy on easy off sheath,

Comments appreciated.

Sounds like a creation by Horsewright. I swear I saw him post a pic of one recently but I just can't seem to find it. Maybe he'll be nice and post some pics in this thread. Go light a candle, look in a mirror and say his name thrice: Horsewright, Horsewright, Horsewright Horsewright

These are made for folders. The tag end/leash end back braids onto a belt loop and then you drop the pouch with the folder into your pocket. I've never made one for a small fixie. But kind of gives me an idea.

This is my Slotted Sheath. It is designed for belt wear but a guy could certain build one of those leases with the slot on each end. You could fasten one to the belt slot of the Slotted Sheath and the other to a belt loop.

Bingo., versatility! Pocket carry or belt carry.

Dave, thanks for popping in! But if I'm reading the OP'S post correctly, I think he's referring to the horizontal fixed blade sheath you've made that, rather than having slots to run a belt through, have a snap at each end of the sheath that you clasp around the belt loops on your pants. I think you originally designed it for a fella who wanted to horizontally carry one of your fixies but wore suspenders instead of a belt. Didn't you recently post a Pic of one of those?

Oh you mean our Beltless Sheath. I’ll have to see if I can find a pic.

I'd imagine Dave could make cool one!!! Two set of holes though🤔......One for hanging on the belt.other.to reach.all the way for pocket carry....😜......just a little thought😉
