Hi guys. Can anyone here identify what BUCK this unusual sheath was made for? Thanks in advance.

Looks to be a sweet Alpha dorado sheath.

Welcome to Blade forums! And the Buck Knives forum!

How did you come across just the sheath?

I've Never Seen It Before, But I'm Sure There Will Be Someone Here Soon Who Can Help You. Lotsa Buck Knowledge With These Guys.

I don't have one, but it sure looks like what they would put a rosewood Dorado in.

It's a sheath for the upper knife in the picture below. A 271 Alpha Dorado with Rosewood scales. BTW it's provides a very form fitting snug fit.

I have a nice Dorado that would fit in that lovely! but like others have said its the leather sheath for the Buck Alpha Dorado

Can't thank you guys enough. What a warm welcome. The sheath was part of a 12 sheath lot I purchased all packaged up at a gun show this morning, 'cause I needed two of them.

Email sent to ya, Maverick.

(Had to work today, so I'm running late) :grumpy:

If you have a problem posting pictures, there is a Quick & Dirty tutorial at Photobucket For Dummies. If you don't have a digital camera, but do have a scanner, lay your knife on the glass and throw a light colored towel/t-shirt/cloth over it and scan it. Save the pic, and follow the above instructions for posting pics.

If you are getting a blank screen (no hits) when using the Search function, follow these instructions courtesy of Cougar Allen [paraphrased] -

Click on "Search This Forum" (in the Forum you want searched); then click "Advanced Search"; select "Search Titles Only"; and put your subject in the keyword field. If you search all of Bladeforums for every occurrence of the subject that will overload the search function and you'll get no results, but if you follow these directions you'll find what you want.

It's a 271 154CM Sheath.
The 270 44HC sheath is genuine Corinthian cordura/nylon of the same shape.
Great sheaths for a great knife.

Here is a pic of the two diff Dorado sheaths.
Thought it may be of interest to those that have not seen them "loaded".
They are vertical carry.

I think you mean 420HC.... :D

Yep. Thanks Messy.
Reminds me of the movie "Mr. Mom" where the guy asks a guy putting in wiring for an electric dryer if he is going to use "220". The guy, Michael Keaton, really has no clue what he's doing and replies "oh yeah, 220, 240, whatever it takes". You had to be there.

And then when the wife shoots him during the dream sequence. Someone asks if she used a 38 and she says 38, 39 whatever it takes. A little off topic but a Funny flic.
